The Challenge
The existing bathroom felt “heavy and dungeonlike” and the homeowners wanted to create a more open, brighter, and safer space. They also wanted their primary bathroom to feel timeless, classic, as if it was original to the house, and on par style and material-wise with the rest of this high-end custom home.
The Solution
The objective of this remodel was to change the style of the bathroom and enlarge the space as it did not correlate with the rest of the house and felt more builder-grade.
The dangerous level change where the bathroom originally stepped up considerably was reworked into a large jacuzzi tub and shower. A seamless transition from a new tub deck to a shower seat was also created.
The shower controls were relocated to a separate wall to facilitate entry without being sprayed by the showerhead.
