The Challenge

Taking into consideration the small island, built by one of the homeowners’ father, the changes made to this kitchen were small but made a big impact on the overall use of this space.

The Solution

The layout of changed from a “U” shaped kitchen to a peninsula providing more storage and increased sitting arrangements. The shape of the peninsula also allows for better traffic flow as it opens up the space making this area less congested.

The double oven cabinet was replaced by a tall pantry cabinet as it became more important for the homeowners to have more storage space.

The mullion glass doors allow for the china sets and other dinnerware to have a proper place for displaying.

The small island was repainted, adding more color to the area!

The back of the peninsula was turned into a very useful space with the addition of an open shelf cabinet and an outlet with USB ports.
